Emma Williams (Castle)

PRINCIPAL

Emma Williams started training at Villanueve from the age of 3yrs until 16yrs, training with British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She continued training at Arts Educational, with an additional three years at Leicester College of Performing Arts where she graduated as a professional dancer. 

Emma then went on to work with Carnival Cruise Lines Ships all around the world. She has also worked with Gabrielle on soul music and numerous international-touring shows. She then decided to help others enjoy the passion and love for dance and has been teaching since 2006 starting Emma Castle Performing Arts in September 2011. 

The schools first show was an ambitious stage at the Lighthouse in Poole, to which they were commended by the staff for the most professional amateur performance and attained fantastic feedback from critics and admirers. Emma's main love of dance is derived from the traditional styles of Ballet, Tap and Jazz.

Miss Kate

BALLET, TAP, JAZZ

Kate has been assisting in teaching the School Seniors for over 4 years. She trained with Miss Emma at Villanueva and has been teaching since passing her teaching qualifications soon after. 

She has over 15 years experience in teaching Dance and is a fantastic asset to the school helping to drive the Seniors focus and technique and is focused on Intermediate classes in Ballet, Tap and Jazz.

Miss Victoria

DRAMA

Victoria is a professional actress and drama teacher from Bournemouth. 

Victoria's theatre training began in Stratford Upon Avon where she spent a year on an intensive course in conjunction with the Royal Shakespeare Company and then went on to complete her BA (Hons) in Acting at the Arts University Bournemouth graduating in 2011.

Since then Victoria has worked extensively in both film and theatre and has appeared in several feature films including "Stalled" and "Territory" as well as numerous TV adverts and many short films.

Victoria is also the Artistic Director of a Theatre company - Shimmie Theatre, which provides drama, music and dance for adults with learning disabilities.

As a teacher and workshop leader for children of all ages Victoria has taught for various drama schools across Dorset and Hampshire for over 10 years including teaching LAMDA exams for the past 5 years.

Miss Jess

SINGING

Jess started performing at the age of 6. She most took an interest in singing. She is classically trained with a foundation in Bel Canto technique. She was in the Bournemouth Symphony Youth Chorus in which she was able to perform all around the country and debut music specifically written for the choir. 

Jess trained at Dorset School of Acting and East 15 Acting School with a degree in ‘World Performance’. During her training she gained more knowledge of music from around the world and now uses this in her teaching and the creation of her music. She hopes to be able to inspire others to follow their passion in singing and performing.

Miss Robyn

STREET

Robyn has always danced since being able to walk. She began her classical training at a local dance school where she achieved intermediate examination standards in ballet, jazz and Tap. She began to branch out into street and commercial dance soon after and fell in love. 

Jess pursued this professionally training with several hip hop crews and teaching workshops internationally. She loves teaching and choreography, always looking to try something new and push the boundaries of dance enhancing peoples abilities and thresholds.

Miss Katie

CONTEMPORARY

Originally from Bournemouth, Dorset, Katie began Classical Ballet training from a young age, closely followed by her uptake of Jazz and Tap. Katie studied RAD and ISTD grades. In the year 2000 she became a Junior Associate of The Royal Ballet School, and in the following years graduated to become a Mid Associate, until leaving in 2005. Katie then discovered Contemporary Dance, and was accepted onto the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) scheme, at The Place.

After graduating from the CAT scheme and completing A-Levels in Politics, Philosophy and Ancient History at Parkstone Grammar School, Dorset, Katie auditioned for various conservatoires across Britain. In 2011, Katie accepted an offer to join the BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary Dance School eventually graduating with a 1st Class Honors Degree.

At LCDS, Katie studied Ballet and Contemporary (Cunningham and Release) techniques daily under an incredible faculty including, Patricia Rianne, Laurent Cavanna, Jeannie Steele, Kate Price, Baptiste Bourgounon and Darren Ellis. As well as technique she studied modules in Choreography, Improvisation, Music, Anatomy and Partner Work, both Classical and Contact. These modules were been taught by inspirations such as Chisato Ohno and Rick Nodine. During her third year, Katie had the pleasure of working with Jose Agudo, Kerry Nicholls, Etta Murfitt and Richard Alston.
 
Post-graduation Katie worked with Avant Garde, Alvin Ailey, Alto Gyre, GAP and featured in various music videos. Alongside her performance career she was a part of the teaching faculty at both Laban and Studio 68.

Miss Maddie

FLEXIBILITY

Miss Maddie learned her first dance steps at ECPA as one of the founding students of the school. Since then she has progressed through to Graduation at LCPA following in the steps of Miss Emma, and has since been working in various productions as well as gaining full qualifications as a Personal trainer. 
We are proud to have Maddie return to help us to get the best out of your posture, flexibility and core strength.

Miss Abbie

JUNIOR TEACHER

Miss Abbie is taking her teaching qualifications and will be Miss Emma's main assistant for the 2020/2021 year.
Abbie joined the school in 2015 and has been a major part of the Senior and Stage classes, performing lead roles in the Show Dance Fusion and Movie Mayhem.
We love Miss Abbies enthusiasm and bubbly personality. She will be a major asset to the school and we wish her luck this year working closely along side Miss Emma.
